Descriptive research is research that is intended to investigate circumstances, conditions or other things that have been mentioned, the results of which are presented in the form of a research report. Research Methods The method used in this research is descriptive method. The results of the explanation from this research can be used as material for strategies and handling of tourism in Bali during and after the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research describes the state of tourism in Bali Province during the Covid-19 pandemic. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected the economic conditions of the Province of Bali, which is largely influenced by the tourism sector. Bali is also famous for its culture, arts and customs and beautiful coastal scenery which of course attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to visit. Bali is one of the most famous tourist destinations from Indonesia. Of course, this will not only have an impact on the aviation sector, but also have an impact on the world tourism sector, especially for the Bali area which is often used as a choice of tourist spots. One of the government's efforts to minimize the chain of spreading the Covid-19 virus outbreak was to reduce visits to public places through operational policies with restrictions the number of flights from both national and international scope. This protocol is implemented because the virus spreads very easily, namely through breathing droplets during coughing or sneezing and also this virus can spread through touch due to contaminated objects. With this regulation, other preventive measures have also been established in the form of implementing health protocols.
In dealing with the spread of this pandemic, Government Regulation Number 21 of 2020 was established by the Indonesian government, namely regarding Large-Scale Social Restrictions in the Context of Accelerating the Handling of Corona Virus Disease 2019, this regulation forces the public to reduce interactions with other people, reduce visits to public places, and avoid the crowd. This crisis forces all parties to respond quickly in overcoming this pandemic and also has a major impact on changing patterns and lifestyles. The pandemic caused a crisis in almost all countries, be it in the education, social and economic sectors. As of March 29, 2021, there were 128 (in million) cases of Covid-19 found in almost all over the world which resulted in 2 (in million) people dying and 72 (in million) people recovered (Wikipedia, 2021). Determination as a pandemic because the disease is contagious and spreads to many countries or regions (CNN, 2020). On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared this disease a pandemic. This disease is caused by a new type of virus and was first discovered in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. Introduction At the beginning of 2020, the world was shocked by the emergence of a new disease, namely Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).
